Legacy Future

"Legacy Foundation is an independent record label officially registered as a Media Company with the Recording Academy."

Who We Are

Legacy Foundation is an independent New Zealand-based media, entertainment company operating across music, education, digital media, technology, and emerging creative industries.

As the umbrella organisation behind a growing portfolio of projects and ventures, Legacy Foundation develops artists, brands, creators, intellectual property, and digital assets for both local and global audiences. Our mission is to combine creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking to create sustainable opportunities for talent, businesses, and communities.

Legacy Music

One of our core divisions is Legacy Music, our independent record label and publishing company. Through Legacy Music, we develop, produce, market, and distribute music from both human artists and hybrid artist projects, combining authentic human creativity with AI-enhanced production tools to deliver world-class entertainment experiences.

Our hybrid artist model combines authentic human creativity with innovative production technologies to create distinctive musical experiences and original intellectual property. While advanced tools may be used during production, all creative direction, songwriting, artistic vision, and brand development remain human-led.

This approach allows Legacy Music to explore new creative possibilities while maintaining artistic integrity, ownership, and a commitment to quality. By supporting both traditional and hybrid artist models, we are helping shape the future of independent music while creating opportunities for artists and audiences alike.

As an independent organisation, we own and manage the masters, publishing rights, trademarks, and intellectual property across our portfolio. Our music is distributed globally through leading distribution partners and is available across all major streaming platforms.

Legacy Foundation is officially registered as a Media Company with the Recording Academy, affiliated with APRA AMCOS, a member of RMNZ (Recorded Music New Zealand), and listed with The Indie Bible, a respected international resource for independent music professionals, reflecting our commitment to supporting independent artists from New Zealand on the global stage.

By combining music, media, marketing, technology, and innovation under one vision, Legacy Foundation is building a future-focused ecosystem designed to develop talent, grow brands, and create lasting impact worldwide.
